KCA Deutag Appoints New Senior Vice President of RDS

KCA Deutag has appointed Albert Allan as the new senior vice president of RDS, the company’s rig design and engineering subsidiary.

Based in Aberdeen, Allan will be responsible for ‘spearheading RDS’s activities worldwide,’ according to a company statement. He will also become a member of KCA Deutag’s executive management team, reporting directly to CEO Norrie McKay.

Allan has worked in various project, operational and construction management roles during his near 30-year career.

“Albert has an exceptional track record which will be invaluable in developing RDS’s growth strategy and expanding our business not only in our core markets of greenfield and brownfield engineering services, but in new markets where there are opportunities to grow our engineering portfolio,” McKay said in a KCA Deutag statement.
